Detail-Oriented Hand Cleaning Specialist (Footwear, Accessories & Delicate Goods) Brightleaf Textile Restoration Stockton, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $23 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits 401(k) On-the-job training Qualifications Restoration Attention to detail Stocking Polishing Time management Full Job Description About the Role We are looking for a meticulous, hands-on Hand Cleaning Specialist to care for non-washable items, including designer sneakers, leather shoes, suede boots, structured hats, belts, bags, and delicate accessories. If you take pride in restoring items to their best condition and have a strong eye for detail, this is the job for you. Key Responsibilities Carefully hand-clean, restore, and detail shoes, belts, hats, and delicate accessories using specialized brushes, solutions, and steam equipment. Identify materials (leather, suede, nubuck, canvas, vintage fabrics) and select the appropriate, safe cleaning techniques for each. Treat stains, scuffs, mold, and salt marks without causing water damage, color bleeding, or material degradation. Reshape hats and maintain structural integrity for delicate items. Perform basic leather conditioning, polishing, and protective spraying. Inspect finished goods to ensure high-quality standards before returning items to clients. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area. Requirements & Qualifications Attention to
Detail:
Exceptional focus on fine details, textures, and material care.
Hands-On Craftsmanship:
Prior experience in shoe repair, dry cleaning detail work, leather restoration, sneaker cleaning, or high-end retail care is a major plus (though we are willing to train the right candidate).
Material Knowledge:
Basic understanding of how water, alcohol, and specialty cleaners affect leather, suede, and delicate fibers.
Patience & Dexterity:
Ability to work carefully with your hands for extended periods without rushing through delicate items.
Reliability:
