Job Description

Schedule 630am - 3pm M-F Pay $19/hr Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Hollow Metal Shop Associate and become a vital part of our manufacturing process! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing high-quality hollow metal products used in commercial construction and architectural applications. Your expertise will help ensure precision, safety, and efficiency in every project. We're seeking motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in metal fabrication and machining, contributing to a collaborative environment that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Perform welding and basic metal fabrication duties as assigned. Read, understand, and follow shop work orders, drawings, and production instructions. Receive and inspect inbound materials for quantity, condition, and accuracy. Properly stage and organize materials for production. Pull, prepare, and fulfill orders according to shop work orders and production requirements. Assist with loading, staging, and movement of completed orders as directed. Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records. Identify inventory shortages, discrepancies, damaged material, or other issues and report them to the Shop Manager. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the workday. Properly store materials, tools, and equipment after use. Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and shop procedures. Work cooperatively with other shop employees and departments to meet production and delivery requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager. Experience Previous welding experience required. Ability to read and understand shop work orders and production instructions. Basic understanding of metal fabrication and shop practices. Ability to accurately receive, count, identify, and organize materials. Ability to perform inventory cycle counts and maintain attention to detail. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle shop materials. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned work. Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to follow direction and complete work according to established procedures.
