$15.00/hour + Production Pay About Us We are a manufacturer of high-quality upholstered seating furniture serving commercial and hospitality customers. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our production team as Upholstery Technicians . This is a hands-on manufacturing position where you will learn the skills and techniques necessary to upholster chairs, sofas, booths, and other commercial seating products. Position Overview The Upholstery Technician is responsible for upholstering furniture using fabric, foam, staples, and various hand and pneumatic tools. This is a physically active, hands-on position and is best suited for someone who is comfortable being on their feet throughout the workday, pulling and stretching fabric, operating a stapler, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks. Previous upholstery experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, hardworking, willing to learn, and take pride in producing quality work. Compensation & Production Pay Starting base pay: $15.00/hour. Employees are paid their regular hourly wage based on the number of hours worked each day. In addition to their regular hourly wages, employees have the opportunity to earn production pay based on individual productivity . Each day has an established production goal based on the work being performed. When an employee's production exceeds the applicable daily production goal, the additional earnings are paid as production pay on top of their regular hourly wages . Production pay provides the opportunity to earn up to an additional $25.00/hour , depending on productivity and production completed. Production earnings are not guaranteed and will vary based on individual performance and the amount of production completed.

Example:

If an employee works 9.5 hours in a day at $15.00/hour, their regular hourly earnings for that day would be $142.50 . If they exceed the established production goal, any qualifying production earnings would be added to their $142.50 in hourly wages. This pay structure rewards employees who are productive, efficient, and committed to meeting and exceeding production goals.

Work Schedule Monday-Thursday:

7:00 AM

•5:00 PM 30-minute lunch One 10-minute morning break One 10-minute afternoon break

Friday:

7:00 AM

•4:00 PM 30-minute lunch One 10-minute morning break One 10-minute afternoon break

Saturday:

7:00 AM

•12:00 PM, when needed Saturday work may be required during particularly busy production periods. Key Responsibilities Upholster chairs, sofas, booths, and other seating furniture according to company specifications. Pull, stretch, position, and secure fabric to furniture frames. Operate pneumatic staplers and other upholstery-related tools. Work with fabric, foam, batting, and other upholstery materials. Properly position fabric and ensure a smooth, professional appearance. Follow patterns, work instructions, and production specifications. Inspect completed furniture for quality and correct issues when necessary. Meet established daily production goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures. Work efficiently and consistently in a production environment. Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production or quality concerns. Learn and develop additional upholstery skills through hands-on training. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding, hands-on manufacturing position .

Candidates must be comfortable with:

Standing for extended periods throughout the workday. Frequently bending, reaching, stretching, and twisting. Pulling and stretching fabric with consistent force. Repeatedly using a pneumatic stapler and other hand tools. Performing repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and upper-body movements. Lifting, carrying, and moving furniture and materials as required. Working at a steady production pace. Performing the same or similar physical movements throughout the workday. Maintaining attention to detail while working efficiently. Qualifications Previous upholstery, furniture manufacturing, sewing, or production experience is a plus, but not required . Willingness to learn upholstery techniques and production processes. Comfortable working with your hands. Strong attention to detail. Dependable and punctual. Strong work ethic. Ability to follow instructions and established specifications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
