Role:

We are seeking an Upholstery Cleaning Technician to clean sofas, chairs, cushions, and other approved upholstered items at customer properties. You will inspect materials, select an appropriate cleaning method within your training, and complete each job carefully while protecting the customer's furnishings and surrounding space. The role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, and professional communication.

Responsibilities:

Review the work order and confirm the agreed items and cleaning scope with the customer. Inspect upholstery for care labels, material characteristics, existing damage, stains, and potential cleaning risks. Test products and methods in an inconspicuous area before proceeding. Select approved cleaning procedures appropriate to the fabric, construction, and manufacturer's instructions. Vacuum and prepare upholstery before cleaning. Treat eligible spots and odors using approved products and application procedures. Operate upholstery-cleaning and extraction equipment safely, avoiding excessive moisture or unsuitable treatment. Protect floors, walls, furniture legs, and nearby belongings. Inspect completed work and address areas requiring additional attention within the agreed scope. Explain realistic results, drying considerations, and aftercare instructions without guaranteeing removal of every stain or odor. Document pre-existing damage, work performed, products used, and concerns requiring follow-up. Stop and consult a supervisor when materials or conditions fall outside your training. Clean and maintain tools, hoses, and assigned equipment. Follow chemical-handling, ventilation, wastewater-disposal, and personal protective equipment procedures. Communicate job progress and scheduling changes to the office or service coordinator.

Qualifications:

Experience in upholstery cleaning, carpet cleaning, or a related professional cleaning role. Familiarity with fabric testing, cleaning methods, and common upholstery-care concerns. Ability to follow care labels, product instructions, and safety information. Strong attention to detail and respect for customer property. Clear communication and a professional customer-service approach. Ability to organize work and maintain accurate service records. Reliable attendance and ability to travel to assigned locations. A valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle is required. Ability to perform essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation; specific physical requirements will be confirmed.

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
