RV Depot is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented RV Upholstery Technician / Upholstery Recovering Specialist to join our service and reconditioning team in Cleburne, Texas. This position is responsible for repairing, recovering, replacing, and restoring upholstery throughout a variety of recreational vehicles. Our dealership carries a large inventory of motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers, so you will work on a wide variety of RV interiors and upholstery projects. What You'll Do Remove, repair, recover, and replace upholstery in recreational vehicles. Recover and repair sofas, couches, loveseats, and jackknife sofas . Recover booth and U-shaped dinette cushions and seating . Repair and recover captain's chairs and cockpit seating . Recover recliners and other upholstered furniture found in motorhomes and travel trailers. Replace and repair upholstery on cushions, backs, armrests, and other interior components. Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, leatherette, foam, batting, and related upholstery materials. Measure, cut, sew, and install upholstery materials accurately. Repair damaged, worn, torn, stained, or outdated interior upholstery. Remove and reinstall upholstered components while protecting surrounding RV interiors. Work on various upholstered wall panels, trim panels, headboards, and interior panels . Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, appearance, stitching, tension, and finish. Match existing colors, patterns, materials, and stitching when performing repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Communicate with management and other technicians regarding repair requirements and completed work. What We're Looking ForRequired / Preferred Skills Previous professional upholstery experience preferred. Experience with automotive, RV, marine, furniture, or commercial upholstery is highly desirable. Ability to operate an industrial or commercial sewing machine. Ability to measure, cut, sew, stretch, and install upholstery materials. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Ability to properly remove and reinstall seats, cushions, panels, and other interior components. Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn RV-specific construction and interiors. Ability to identify quality issues and make appropriate repairs. Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership/service environment. We are especially interested in candidates who can take an upholstery project from start to finish—from removing the old material and preparing the component to cutting, sewing, installing, and producing a professional finished product. Types of RVs You'll Work On Our inventory includes a wide variety of recreational vehicles, including: Class A, B, and C motorhomes Fifth wheels Travel trailers Toy haulers Luxury and family-oriented RVs The interiors can include everything from traditional fabric seating to leather and leatherette sofas, reclining furniture, booth dinettes, cockpit captain's chairs, cushions, and other upholstered interior components. Qualifications 2+ years of upholstery experience preferred. RV upholstery experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate. Automotive, marine, furniture, aircraft, or commercial upholstery experience will be considered. Must be able to work with hand tools and upholstery equipment. Must be able to lift and maneuver upholstery components and materials. Must be able to work inside RVs and in a service/shop environment. Must be able to produce clean, professional work with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour , depending on experience and skill level.
