In this energetic role, you will ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our animal patients while assisting veterinary professionals with daily operations. You will work in a busy 24-hour emergency hospital and must be open and available to work shifts during the day, night, and/or weekends. Duties As a Kennel Assistant, you are the backbone of our hospital. You ensure our patients stay happy, our facility stays spotless, and our medical team has exactly what they need to save lives. No two days are the same, and you will wear many different capes (and scrubs!).

What You'll Be Doing Patient Comfort Connoisseur:

You'll help monitor patient well-being, hand out belly rubs, and make sure every tail keeps wagging.

The Laundry Ninja:

You will conquer the never-ending mountain of blankets and towels, making sure our patients always have a warm, fluffy place to rest.

Sanitation Superstar:

Sweeping, mopping, and deep-cleaning cages. You take pride in making sure our hospital smells fresh and stays safe from germs.

Surgical Instrument Technician:

You'll learn the art of properly cleaning, prepping, and sterilizing surgical instruments to set our doctors up for a flawless surgery day.

Technician Sidekick:

From helping restrain a wiggly pup for an exam to fetching vital supplies, you'll act as the ultimate right hand to our vet techs.

A Team Player:

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and love jumping in wherever help is needed.

Reliable & Proactive:

You see a mess and clean it; you see an empty stock shelf and fill it.

Physically Active:

You don't mind being on your feet, lifting heavy food bags, or handling a large dog on a walk. Prior kennel experience or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable to excel in this role. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques enhances your ability to support clinical procedures effectively. Ability to follow strict PPE protocols and maintain aseptic conditions to ensure high standards of animal welfare. Effective communication skills for engaging with team members to promote optimal animal care.
