Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a full-time dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. A passion for animal care and a strong ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this position. Other duties may include assisting team members with animal and/or clinic care. If you are looking to start your career in the veterinary field, this would be a great position to learn and get on the job training. Our main needs at this time, however, remain at receptionist.
Current Hours Needed:
M, T, TH, FR, 8
45am-6:30pm. Occasionally we do run late but we try to have everyone out between 6:30-7pm. We are closed on Wednesdays, weekends and most major holidays. Our hours are 9am-6pm. Flexibility a huge plus! Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for veterinary services. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date. Process payments and handle medical collections as necessary. Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment. Provide support to veterinary staff during examinations or treatments as needed. Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and preventive care. Skills The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills: Knowledge of Veterinary practices and procedures. Experience with Animal handling to ensure safety during interactions with pets. Familiarity with Animal anatomy knowledge to assist in client education. Skills in Medical collection processes for managing payments effectively Proficiency in Veterinary critical care practices is beneficial for assisting in emergencies. Knowledge of Laboratory procedures related to veterinary diagnostics is advantageous. Strong capabilities in Animal husbandry to provide comprehensive support to clients. Ability to lift 40lbs a plus Join us in providing exceptional care to our furry friends while ensuring a positive experience for their owners.
