We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant for Internal medicine whose priority is patient care and client relationships. Veteriary Assistants may perform an initial evaluation of the animal's condition, collect samples, administer treatment and educate clients. Must show dedication, compassion and love towards our clients and patients. Strong customer communication, typing and interpersonal skills needed!

Responsibilities :

Provide superior customer communication and patience Process payments Email/fax medical records Ability to be cross-trained in front desk duties Fill and explain prescriptions to clients Assist with patient discharges Maintain cleanliness of facility and working areas

Patient Care:

Administer

IV, SQ, IM

injections Monitor vitals Perform diagnostics (bloodwork, radiographs, urine collection, etc.) Provide support for anesthesia induction and recovery Pet husbandry

The Ideal Candidate:

Must have minimal 2 years experience in veterinary assitant skills Is pro-active and works well with others Maintain a positive attitude with team and clients Prioritize customer relationship and patient care Enjoys a fast fun-filled working environment Able to triage effectively Able to work with minimal supervision Perform basic drug calculations

Job Types:
