ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift Keeping the grounds and common areas clean Daily sanitizing/disinfection of kennels, replacing bedding, and washing and folding laundry Daily sanitizing/disinfection protocols for kennels, treatment and common areas, and equipment Recognize potentially sick animals or behaviour chnages and alert DVM Giving prescribed medications to boarding patients Proper handling and caring of animals to perform work in a humane and safe manner Keeping hospital supplies stocked throughout the hospital A willingness to help Amazing patient handling skills that impress our nurses and doctors Compliance with procedures, policies, and rules Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions Ability to work without supervision, if needed A passion to make every effort at our hospital to provide the highest quality care for each and every patient Ability to learn quickly, adapt to high-pressure situations, and be accepting of constructive criticism Must be able to lift 50+ pounds! A want to be part of our amazing organization, now and in the future! We are a VERY busy and in-demand 2 Doctor practice, looking for a full time 30-40 hour per week kennel assistant. We are open M-F (Weekend Hours Required for boarding patients) . We see cats and dogs, and we are appointment-only. Martinez Animal Hospital is committed to excellence in animal health care.
