We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that examination room encounters run smoothly, enhancing the doctor's productivity and providing clients with an additional healthcare provider as a point of contact. We are an urgent care facility, so the volume of appointments fluctuates. We are looking for someone to fill this position that is comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Ensure a positive and professional client service experience. Provide translation services as needed. Maintain exam room cleanliness, organization, and inventory. Escort patients to the appropriate exam room. Review client history with clients and make notes for the doctor. Conduct TPR (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration) and asymmetry exams. Notify the doctor when the client is ready to be seen. Assist the doctor in the exam room and type up medical notes as needed. Prepare estimates and treatment plans and review them with clients. Take payments when needed. Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various medical tasks. Fill prescriptions, calculate and administer medications Expedite serious issues to management in a timely manner. Perform other tasks as needed.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications:

Must be bilingual, able to communicate in Spanish, both verbally and in writing. Minimum of two years of practical experience in an emergency or urgent care setting Highly detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal and record-keeping skills. Compassion for pets and people.
