Sunday-Thursday About Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Clinic Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA-accredited, privately owned veterinary hospital committed to high-quality medicine, compassionate patient care, and a supportive team environment. Our hospital includes 12 DVMs, 70 team members, and an 11,000-square-foot facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology. With a high support staff-to-doctor ratio, we work collaboratively to provide excellent care while helping our team members continue to develop their skills. We're looking for a motivated, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our floor team. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational veterinary skills who is eager to learn, receptive to coaching, and ready to grow in a busy hospital environment. What You'll Do Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats for examinations, treatments, and procedures. Assist the veterinary team with patient care and daily hospital workflow. Support vaccine and preventative care appointments, including knowledge of common vaccines and preventatives and administration within your training and authorization. Perform blood draws and assist with sample collection and preparation. Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment. Restock supplies and follow hospital cleaning, sanitation, and safety protocols. Monitor patients and communicate concerns to the medical team. Work collaboratively with veterinarians, RVTs, and fellow Veterinary Assistants to keep the hospital running smoothly. Follow established protocols while remaining open to feedback and additional training. What We're Looking For Previous veterinary assistant or hands-on animal care experience. Confidence with animal handling and safe restraint techniques. Foundational knowledge of vaccines and preventative medications. Some blood draw experience preferred; jugular venipuncture experience is not required. A coachable attitude and willingness to develop additional technical skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow clinical protocols. Dependability, teamwork, and clear communication. Comfort working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital. Availability to work Sunday through Thursday.
