The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in animal health care and a desire to learn more about the veterinary profession.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients about pet care issues. Obtain vital signs on pets and medical histories from clients. Create estimates for care and explaining to clients Assist in animal restraint and handling. Perform outpatient procedures including Obtaining X-rays, drawing blood, running lab tests, vaccinating pets and administering medications. Assist in Surgery including prepping and monitoring patients under anesthesia. Place IV catheters and monitoring IV Fluids. Perform a variety of basic animal care tasks and routines, including feeding, cleaning, and walking pets. Make sure pets are comfortable during clinical procedures. Keep pet records current and accurate. Oversee the care of the clinic animals and boarding pets. Enter information correctly into computerized medical records. Able to work in fast paced medical environment. Ability to work well with others. Compensation based on skill level. Must be punctual and have good attendance record. Positive attitude and desire to learn new things is a must. Must be available to work Saturdays.

$17.00 - $24.00 per hour
