Veterinary Technician Assistant Countryside Animal Hospital is seeking a full time experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our growing team in Covington, GA. We are a busy, team-oriented practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients and outstanding service to their families. We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and confident working in a fast-paced veterinary environment. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a veterinary hospital, is comfortable handling animals of all sizes, and enjoys working closely with veterinarians and technicians to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient restraint, handling, and positioning during examinations and procedures Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments Assist with patient preparation for surgery, dentistry, radiology, and diagnostic procedures Collect and process lab samples Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment Qualifications Previous veterinary assistant experience required Animal handling and restraint experience required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable with excellent time-management and organizational abilities Comfortable using computers, veterinary software, and medical equipment Detail-oriented and committed to providing exceptional patient care Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed We are looking for someone who is passionate about veterinary medicine, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and takes pride in delivering excellent care to pets and their owners.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
