Job Description

Equine/Livestock Ambulatory Veterinary Technician / Assistant Carter Veterinary Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our ambulatory practice serving the Metter, Statesboro, Claxton, and surrounding southeast Georgia communities. This position is three to four days per week, with no weekends or major holidays. The ideal candidate will have horsemanship/livestock skills and be dedicated to exceptional patient care. Our team consistently demonstrates self-motivation, the desire to learn, a positive and supportive attitude, an ambitious work ethic, and a commitment to provide outstanding care to our patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarian on farm calls for equine and livestock patients (cattle, goats, pigs, etc.) Prepare, stock, and maintain ambulatory trucks, equipment, and supplies Assist with treatments, diagnostics, imaging, and procedures Detailed invoicing and medical record entries Running in-house diagnostics Communicate professionally and courteously with clients in the field Qualifications Veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate Comfortable working with horses and/or livestock Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically able to lift, and assist with heavy equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude Schedule & Pay Three-Four days a week No weekends or major holidays Pay based on experience and skill level If you enjoy hands-on work, value teamwork, and want to be part of a respected large animal ambulatory practice, we would love to hear from you.
