Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a part-time dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cats and kittens and possess the skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Cat Kennel Technician, you will help clean cat kennels, along with the cat and kitten rooms, scooping, sweeping and mopping and feeding cats and kittens. Duties Provide daily care for cats Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to ops manager Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper techniques for restraint and transport Help social the cats and kittens Requirements Experience in animal handling or care is preferred; previous work in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and volunteers. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, including lifting kitty litter and scooping litter boxes A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their well-being. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary. Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is advantageous but not required. Experience in pet sitting or similar roles can be considered an asset. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
