Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint, handling, and care for dogs and cats Support veterinary technicians during medical procedures such as IV catheterizations, and surgeries Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment Prepare animals for examinations and treatments by following proper animal husbandry and behavior management techniques Record detailed medical information and update patient records accurately in the clinic's database Administer medications under supervision and assist with laboratory sample collection and processing Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs while demonstrating excellent customer service skills Skills Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and pet handling skills for dogs and cats. Obtaining efficient medical histories from clients during outpatient appointments Strong record keeping skills to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and patient history Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) use to ensure safety for animals and staff This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
