Full-time Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

Job Description

Plymouth Veterinary Clinic, LLC is seeking a part-time or full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to patient care and supports our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services. Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, as well as providing compassionate care to patients and clear communication with clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident in clinical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments Monitor and care for hospitalized patients Prepare and assist in surgical and dental procedures Perform laboratory procedures (bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, etc.) Take and process digital and dental radiographs Administer medications and vaccines as directed Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes Educate clients on patient care, medications, and preventive health Ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area
Qualifications For RVTs:
Current RVT license (or eligibility) Strong technical and anesthesia monitoring skills preferred
For Veterinary Assistants:
Prior veterinary experience preferred, but not required Willingness to learn and grow in a clinical role

  • Committed to growth, both professionally and personally. Schedule & Hours Our clinic is open Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM, and every other Saturday, 7:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM. Team members work a rotating schedule, including occasional Saturday shifts (typically 1-2 per month, depending on availability). We also require one Sunday shift per month, either 8:00 AM
  • 10:00 AM or 6:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM (this is also a rotating shift between team members).
We prioritize work-life balance and strive to provide consistent and predictable scheduling whenever possible.
