Veterinary Medical & Surgical Hospital is seeking a Full Time highly skilled Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team. We are a fast paced Veterinary Hospital looking for applicants willing to work in a team setting with a positive attitude. A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are a must.

Veterinary Technician/Assistant Position --Skills include:

Maintaining compassion, sympathy and professionalism during high-stress situations General product knowledge: flea and heartworm preventatives, medications, etc. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Strong animal handling skills Ability to perform TPR, assisting in surgery, dentistry, blood draws, basic laboratory Self-motivated Flexible schedule Good customer service skills Ability to read and understand medical terminology Pharmacology knowledge Duties include, but are not limited to: Answering multi-line telephones, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records Communicating with clients regarding patient care Assisting doctors with medical care of patients Cleaning cages and kennels

Qualifications:

•Licensure in Veterinary Technology preferred. High School Diploma Strong computer skills Experience in the veterinary field a plus Must be available to work weekends & Holidays

•Knowledge of Avimark is a plus

Job Types:

Part-time, Full-time Pay:

$12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Holidays Weekends as needed

Experience:

Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred) Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
