This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and pet owners, ensuring animals receive the highest quality treatment and attention. You will be instrumental in assisting with medical procedures, animal handling, and client communication, all while fostering a compassionate environment for our furry patients. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their veterinary expertise and make a meaningful difference in animal health. Pay is dependant on experience. Duties will vary for Veterinary Technician versus Veterinary Assistant Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures including radiology and laboratory work (technician) Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their comfort and safety (both) Prepare and maintain medical equipment, including anesthesia monitoring devices, IV insertion tools, and radiology equipment (both) Perform laboratory tasks such as sample collection, and diagnostic testing to support accurate diagnoses (technician) Administer medications, and monitor surgical cases (technician) Support pet care activities like pedicures and maintaining cleanliness using aseptic techniques (both) Maintain detailed records of treatments, procedures, medication administration, and client communications using veterinary software (both) Requirements Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary surgical assistance practices (technician) Experience with anesthesia monitoring (including general anesthesia), and vascular access procedures such as IV insertion (technician) Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques including X-ray operation and radiology diagnostics (technician) Strong understanding of medication administration, and aseptic techniques (technician) Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration (both) Familiarity with veterinary laboratory work, medical equipment operation, and veterinary software systems (both) Embark on a rewarding career path where your skills directly improve the lives of animals while advancing your professional growth.
