Job Description
Veterinary Assistant/Technician at Fort Kent Animal Hospital Interested in a career working with animals? Here's your opportunity! We are actively seeking a full or part time veterinary assistant or technician to expand our staff. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train someone with a good work ethic and eagerness to learn. We're looking for a team player with excellent communication skills that can work well with their fellow employees, enjoys people as well as animals and takes pride in their work. Duties to
Include:
- Assisting with wellness and medical appointments
- Communicating with pet owners
- Assisting with surgical admissions
- Coordinating and documenting treatments, surgeries and dental procedures
- Performing diagnostics with our full in-house laboratory and digital radiography
- Maintaining and trouble-shooting equipment
- Generally lending a hand wherever your team members need assistance Applicants must be able to lift 50lbs and be comfortable on their feet for extended periods of time.
