Job Description

We are seeking an advanced assistant with at least two years of experience and/or a Licensed Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate is hardworking, honest, practical, and an excellent communicator. Our clinic has recently upgraded to the latest technology for X-rays, lab testing, and skin and ear care. We are a busy practice in Carleton with a Monday-Thursday schedule of 10-12 hour shifts. A typical day begins between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. and usually ends around 7:30 p.m., once all patients have been cared for. We are closed Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays.
Requirements:
You must be available Monday through Thursday for 10-12 hour shifts. This schedule is mandatory. The clinic is closed every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as major holidays. Most days begin between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. and continue until all patients are cared for and settled. This work requires dedication and passion, not just a desire for a job. Educational opportunities may be available for the right candidate. Experienced assistants interested in becoming Licensed Veterinary Technicians or pursuing Veterinary Technician schooling may qualify for tuition assistance. After 90 days, benefits include significant discounts on personal pet care, matching retirement contributions, dental insurance, and vision insurance. After one year, team members receive paid holidays and one week of paid vacation. Additional benefits, including a uniform allowance, are also offered. We schedule four-hour working interviews so candidates can come in wearing scrubs or business attire—no jeans—meet the doctor, observe our work, and determine whether the position is a good fit. Applicants must pass a drug test and have reliable transportation. Please submit a resume to apply.
