Job Description

Overview We are a busy high quality small animal clinic that offers digital radiography, ultrasound, anesthesia monitoring, Idexx lab equipment, eVet software, dental unit and much more! Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care and client service! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with medical procedures, animal handling, and clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our furry patients receive compassionate, high-quality care while fostering a welcoming environment for pet owners. If you are friendly, outgoing, & a team player....we are looking for you to join our team. Duties Assist veterinary staff with medical collection procedures including blood draws, urine samples, and other laboratory tests Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for examinations, treatments, and surgeries Maintain accurate records of patient information, treatments, and laboratory results using veterinary software systems Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and clinic policies Support front desk activities such as scheduling appointments, managing client inquiries, and processing payments Requirements At least 1yr of Veterinary Assistant Experience Knowledge of veterinary terminology, and medical-surgical procedures Experience with laboratory work and veterinary critical care practices highly desirable Ability to handle dogs and other companion animals confidently and compassionately Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members Experience with veterinary software systems used for recordkeeping and appointment management Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations or treatments Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail & to stay busy during slow times Join us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri 9am to 6pm
Closed:
Thursday, Saturday & Sunday Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
