Job Description

Do you love working with animals? We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Veterinary Assistant who enjoys being part of a busy medical team and wants to make a difference in the lives of animals every day. Our clinic provides high-quality, high-volume veterinary care, including spay and neuter services, and we believe that being efficient should never mean compromising patient care. Every animal deserves to be handled with compassion, monitored carefully, and treated with the same attention and respect — whether they're the first patient of the day or the tenth. If you are someone who notices the little things, enjoys learning, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in helping things run smoothly, you may be exactly who we are looking for. Why This Position? Because great veterinary assistants are an essential part of great medicine. Our Veterinary Assistants play an important role in keeping the clinic organized, supporting the medical team, and making sure our patients receive excellent care. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced small animal practice. You'll be involved in patient care, surgical preparation and recovery, cleaning and organization, animal handling, and all the little things that help a busy veterinary clinic run well. This is a great position for someone who enjoys variety, likes staying busy, and wants to continue building their veterinary skills. The Kind of Teammate We're Looking For We don't expect you to know everything. We expect you to be willing to learn, ask questions, communicate, and work hard.
We value Veterinary Assistants who:
Have previous experience working in small animal veterinary medicine . Are comfortable handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately. Are dependable, organized, and able to stay productive in a busy environment. Ask questions and are eager to learn. Take direction well and are comfortable working as part of a team. Pay attention to detail. Speak up when they have a concern about a patient. Help their teammates succeed. Take pride in keeping treatment and surgical areas clean and organized. Can adapt when the day doesn't go exactly as planned. Can laugh and have fun while still taking their work seriously. Most importantly, we want someone who understands that every patient matters and that the way we care for them matters just as much as the work we accomplish. What You'll Do Depending on your experience and training, your responsibilities may include: Assisting with patient restraint and handling. Preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Assisting with surgical preparation and recovery. Monitoring recovering patients and communicating concerns to the medical team. Cleaning and preparing treatment and surgical areas. Maintaining equipment and supplies. Assisting with laboratory samples and other in-house diagnostics. Providing compassionate patient care throughout the day. Supporting the LVTs and veterinarians with daily medical tasks. Helping maintain an organized, efficient, and clean clinic. Schedule Schedule to be determined based on clinic needs and candidate availability. Required Previous experience in small animal veterinary medicine required. Experience handling dogs and cats safely. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong communication and teamwork skills. LVT credential is not required. If This Sounds Like You... If you have experience in small animal medicine, love working with animals, and want to be part of a team that takes both patient care and teamwork seriously, we'd love to meet you. Come join a team where your work matters — to the animals, to the people who care about them, and to the medical team beside you.
