Valley Veterinary is seeking a full-time motivated and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced, small animal practice. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys teamwork, variety, and providing excellent patient care in a supportive hospital environment. This is a full-time, year round position. A high school diploma/GED is required to be considered. Schedule 4 days per week 10-hour shifts Hospital hours:

Monday-Thursday:

7:00 AM - 5:30

PM Friday:

7:00 AM - 4:30 PM No weekend hours Key Responsibilities Veterinary Assistants play an essential role in daily hospital operations, including but not limited to: Cleaning and maintaining kennels, treatment areas, and hospital spaces Stocking supplies and assisting with general hospital organization Safely restraining animals for exams, procedures, and radiographs Assisting with surgical preparation, setup, and cleanup Preparing surgery packs and maintaining sterile technique Assisting with medication administration and treatments as directed Monitoring patients and supporting technicians and veterinarians Running errands and assisting with various tasks throughout the hospital Qualifications & Requirements Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset Comfortable handling and working with animals of all sizes and temperaments Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed Physical requirements include: Standing for long periods Physical dexterity and strength Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with lifting over 50 lbs What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is efficient, dependable, and proactive, with a genuine interest in veterinary medicine and patient care. Prior veterinary or animal handling experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important. Pay depends on experience.
