Responsibilities Assistants:

Assist veterinarians and veterinary staff in preparing treatment areas, exam rooms, and maintaining a clean and stocked workspace at all times.

Those with Technician experience:

Perform laboratory work including phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology, and veterinary laboratory tests to support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans. Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques, animal husbandry practices, and knowledge of animal physiology to ensure comfort and safety for pets and staff alike.

Those with Technician experience:

Manage IV insertion, vascular access, animal catheterization, and medication administration with precision and adherence to aseptic technique. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, radiology diagnostics tools, and other diagnostic imaging devices to assist in accurate assessments. Those with

Technician Experience:

Support critical & intensive care units by assisting with emergency medicine procedures, medication administration, and maintaining detailed patient records using veterinary software. Other duties such as cleaning, laundry, answering phones. Skills Proven assistant experience along with strong dog handling skills to manage a variety of animals confidently. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and protocols for comprehensive patient care. Experience in veterinary critical care settings. Laboratory experience. Familiarity with veterinary, radiology diagnostics and diagnostic radiology equipment operation. Ability to perform animal restraint effectively while demonstrating understanding of animal physiology for safe handling. Strong client communication skills paired with proficiency in veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment management.
