We intentionally choose not to rush our care, believing that every patient and client deserves our undivided time, empathy, and attention. We take pride in building deep, lasting relationships with our community and practicing medicine with mindfulness and precision. We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant who thrives in a calm, detail-oriented environment. We offer generous personal pet care discounts. Unlike high-volume or corporate clinics, our team focuses on quality over quantity. The ideal candidate will seamlessly assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, taking the time necessary to ensure our patients feel safe and comfortable. You will utilize your technical skills to perform diagnostic tests, monitor anesthesia, and administer treatments without the pressure of a chaotic schedule. We welcome registered technicians (RVT/LVT/CVT) as well as highly experienced assistants with a strong clinical background.
Core Responsibilities Patient Care:
Perform comprehensive triage, collect detailed medical histories, monitor vital signs, and administer prescribed medications.
Technical Skills:
Place intravenous (IV) catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect diagnostic samples with a focus on low-stress handling techniques.
Anesthesia & Surgery:
Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing surgery or dental cleanings; maintain and sterilize surgical equipment.
Diagnostics:
Perform digital radiographs, assist with ultrasounds, and run in-house laboratory equipment.
Client Communication:
Take the time to thoroughly educate clients on preventative care, post-operative instructions, and medication administration.
Clinic Upkeep:
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and keep treatment areas clean, organized, and stocked.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is a plus.
Licensing:
Active
RVT/LVT/CVT
license is highly preferred but not required for candidates with extensive practical experience.
Skills:
Proficient in safe animal restraint, calculating basic medical dosages, and using veterinary practice management software.
Physical:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended shifts, and safely lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
