Veterinary Assistant needed to join our growing practice in LaFayette, NY, a short drive south of Syracuse. The LaFayette Veterinary Clinic is a family owned state of the art hospital offering services to dogs and cats. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and positive person that can be a team player and work independently in our Fear Free® environment. Veterinary Assistants support our doctors and technicians with the medical treatments and care of our patients. They also ensure that all treatment areas are clean, organized and well-stocked. Assistants are trained to check in clients, keep accurate records, prepare laboratory samples for shipping and restrain dogs and cats. Veterinary Assistants must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative, team-oriented environment. The ability to lift animals and boxes and to be constantly moving throughout the hospital is required.
