New Hyde Park, NY Job Details Part-time | Full-time $19 - $22 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Life insurance Qualifications Companion animal handling Veterinary medication administration Animal drug administration Communication with pet owners Pet medication administration Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Safely handle, restrain, and comfort animals Prepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and medical equipment Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain clinic cleanliness Feed, bathe, and exercise animals when needed Monitor animals during recovery and report changes in condition Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian Collect samples (blood, urine, feces) for testing Provide basic client education and support pet owners Maintain medical records and inventory supplies
