We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to our animal patients and their owners. Duties:
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care to animals
Handle and restrain animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Monitor vital signs of animals and report any abnormalities to the veterinarian
Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
Assist with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging procedures
Provide post-operative care to animals recovering from surgery
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience is required
Knowledge of veterinary assistant duties and responsibilities
Familiarity with veterinary terminology
Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Must have reliable transportationA candidate that has been cross-trained as a CSR will have an advantage in obtaining a spot on our team!
