What Your Day Might Look Like Your day will vary, but responsibilities may include: Client Service & Reception Greeting clients and their pets with warmth and enthusiasm — both in person and over the phone Answering phones, texts, and emails while keeping appointments organized and on schedule Checking patients in and out and helping visits run smoothly Providing excellent customer service and making clients feel heard, welcomed, and cared for Communicating clearly with clients regarding appointments, services, products, and next steps in their pet's care Supporting veterinarians and technicians by keeping communication clear and efficient Entering and maintaining accurate client and patient records Handling multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail Keeping the front desk and lobby organized and running smoothly Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities Assisting doctors and veterinary technicians with appointments and patient care Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats for examinations and procedures Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas Cleaning and maintaining equipment, kennels, and patient areas Obtaining and recording patient weights and basic vital signs Assisting with blood draws, laboratory samples, diagnostic procedures, and other medical tasks as trained Preparing patients for procedures and assisting with patient recovery and monitoring Providing compassionate care and comfort to hospitalized or recovering patients Assisting with surgical and dental preparation, cleaning, and room turnover as needed Restocking supplies and helping maintain an organized, clean, and efficient hospital Following hospital protocols for patient safety, sanitation, and infection control Helping wherever needed to keep the hospital running efficiently No two days are exactly the same. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Compassionate and genuinely loves animals and the people who care for them Friendly, positive, and naturally makes people feel welcome Comfortable talking with clients both in person and on the phone Able to demonstrate strong communication and professional phone etiquette Reliable, punctual, and dependable A true team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities Detail-oriented and organized, even when things get hectic Calm and patient when dealing with nervous, sick, or difficult-to-handle animals Able to work well with doctors, technicians, reception staff, and other team members Adaptable and willing to learn new skills Someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and client service Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right candidate based on their customer service experience, attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 38.0 per week
