Overview Endless Mountains Veterinary Center is excited to expand our service area into the Mansfield Area. As part of our startup, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our expanding team! Ideal candidates will possess a strong passion for animal care and a comprehensive understanding of veterinary practices. As a Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting veterinarians by providing high-quality medical assistance, and providing quality care to clientele. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care. Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff, utilizing knowledge of animal behavior and physiology. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment to aid in accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Provide pet care services including grooming, feeding, and administering medications as directed by veterinarians. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and other oral health treatments. Document medical records accurately, including details of treatments, procedures, and patient progress to ensure seamless communication within the team. Requirements Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant with knowledge of veterinary terminology. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging such as X-ray technology, and veterinary critical care practices. Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to assist effectively during medical procedures. Ability to perform animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and maintain aseptic environments during surgeries or treatments. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members professionally and compassionately.
Pay:
From $15.83 per hour
