Job Description

Our team is looking for a full-time, skilled Veterinary Assistant / Client Care Specialist for our growing four doctor small animal practice located near Lancaster, PA. This individual will be cross-trained to work in both the front and the back of hospital, with the majority of their time spent in the back working as a Veterinary Assistant. We practice a very high standard of medicine offering everything from wellness exams to dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, radiology, in-house lab, and much more. The right applicant must be detail oriented, have excellent communication and telephone skills, a high level of motivation, a team oriented mentality, a positive attitude, and a willingness to go that extra mile.
Responsibilities include:
Working closely with, and assisting, veterinarians and vet technicians with restraint, lab work, preparing medications/vaccines, administering medications, loading rooms ; just to name a few Communicating, and educating Clients Client Greeting and Appointment Scheduling Payment processing and Entering Client data Answering and directing calls on multi-line system Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ensuring that the hospital is clean and presentable at all times We offer a competitive rate and benefits which include health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan, paid holidays, discounted veterinary services, vacation and sick time, scrub allowance, and CE allowance. Evenings are a must. Must have the ability to carry and lift up to 25 lbs. We are looking for someone with an educational background in the veterinary field. 2-3 years of experience preferred.
