Job Description

Job Overview Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment, supporting both clinical procedures and client interactions. You will be instrumental in providing exceptional animal care, assisting with medical treatments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. If you are energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to grow your skills in animal health, this role is perfect for you! Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including appointments, surgery, treatments, animal restraint, and diagnostics Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and pocket pets with confidence and care, ensuring their safety and comfort Maintain accurate record keeping of medical histories, treatment plans, and medication logs Care for hospitalized patients including proper feeding, grooming, and cleaning of kennel to ensure a clean and safe environment Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, invoicing clients, and answering phone calls professionally Support surgical procedures by preparing equipment, monitoring anesthesia, and monitoring recovery under veterinary supervision Skills Comfort with animal handling and restraint techniques Veterinary technician experience is preferred but willing to train anyone eager to learn Ability to work well with others Excellent communication skills Willingness to learn Multi-tasking This role offers a rewarding career path for dedicated individuals passionate about advancing their skills in veterinary medicine while making a positive impact on animal lives. Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
