Duties Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and husbandry to ensure safe and stress-free procedures. Support clinical tasks such as IV insertions, medication administration, animal catheterization, and wound care under supervision. Maintain cleanliness of the hospital by cleaning kennels, treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment to uphold infection control standards. Help with record keeping by accurately documenting patient information, treatment details, and medication logs in veterinary management systems. Manage front desk responsibilities including client communication, appointment scheduling, and answering inquiries with professionalism and warmth. Handle animals during examinations, surgeries, or boarding by applying proper restraint techniques aligned with animal behavior and physiology knowledge. Support emergency critical care activities by assisting in triage, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Requirements Previous kennel experience or animal handling background is highly preferred. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar animal care environment is advantageous. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures is beneficial. Ability to handle dogs and other animals confidently while demonstrating excellent restraint skills. Be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted Be able to multitask in a fast paced environment Have no fear of any animal Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Willingness to learn about veterinary critical care practices, surgery support, and pet care protocols.
