About us Dixie Day Spay is a low-cost non-profit spay/neuter clinic in Cleveland, TN. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless animals by providing low cost spay/neuter surgeries to those who cannot afford it otherwise. In addition we offer basic wellness care at affordable prices. In our 15 years of operation we've performed just over 90,000 spay/neuter surgeries. We are a small but mighty clinic positively impacting the lives of animals every day.

A place where the emphasis is on pets not profits. We are seeking a dedicated, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join in our mission of providing basic wellness to pet owners who could not otherwise afford it. The ideal candidate will share our passion for animal care and possess a strong desire to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
Partial Responsibilities:
  • Check in patients and conduct yourself professionally and kindly with all pets and pet parents.
  • Handle and restrain animals with care and compassion
  • Perform basic procedures such as nail trims, vaccinations, and blood draws
  • Assist pet parents in and out of clinic
  • Requirements:
  • Ability to lift dogs and cats of all sizes
  • Ability to work well with others
