Ideal candidate attributes:

Successful applicants must be mature, hardworking, reliable, dependable, and willing to do animal care and custodial work involving caring for patients, borders, and the facility. We are located at 1340 S Ellington Parkway. Our ideal candidate will have reliable transportation, is a self-starter, motivated, team-oriented, good communicator, and excellent with clients, dogs and cats. Animal care experience is a strong plus . References will be called. You must successfully pass a drug test, and background check at our expense. Weekend and evening hours are required. Responsibilities

• Give baths to dogs and cats, assist with nail trims, express glands
• Clean, disinfect and sanitize indoor and outdoor runs/cages
• Feed animals as directed, medicate animals per instructions
• Monitor animals during shift for cleanliness and healthiness
• Assist technicians with animals as asked
• Perform hospital janitorial services inside the building and on hospital grounds
• Clean hospital property from patient feces regularly
• Verify and enter client charges and services rendered,
• Complete facility laundry, vacuum, mop, sanitize and disinfect daily. Qualifications
• Ability to work approximately 26-34 hours per week
• Ability to work at least every other Saturday a nd come in on a rotating basis for Saturday evening and Sunday morning and evening shift (usually between 1-3 hours)
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to spell well and articulate details in notes taken and entered
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to take constructive criticism professionally and change work habits accordingly
• Ability to lift and work with up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 35 lbs. regularly
• Reliable, honest, self-starter, requiring little supervision
• Possession of strong problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented individual with a good sense of humor and interpersonal skills, strong general maths skills
