Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Provide proper animal restraint during treatments and examinations Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or veterinary technician Perform basic animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, bathing, and exercising animals Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinary team Handle laboratory samples and perform basic laboratory tests as needed Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology Skills Experience in animal care is preferred Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices Proficiency in medication administration and aseptic techniques Familiarity with laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine Strong skills in animal handling techniques Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a veterinary clinic is advantageous Understanding of animal husbandry principles and practices Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Pay is based and negotiated upon experience!
