We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Animal Rescue Jack/Jaqueline of All Trades to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our rescue operations, providing hands-on care, supporting veterinary procedures, assisting with facility maintenance, contributing to on-and-off-site events, and providing administration assistance when needed. Your energetic approach and compassionate attitude will help ensure every animal receives the love, attention, and care they deserve while supporting our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a broad skill set and a deep love for animals to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide exceptional animal handling and restraint for dogs, cats, parrots, and other species to ensure safety during medical procedures, daily activities, and transport. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, animal enclosures, treatment areas, and the overall facility to promote hygiene and prevent disease transmission. Support record keeping by accurately documenting medical treatments, behavioral observations, feeding schedules, and other vital information. Handle front desk duties and provide administrative support to the President & Vice President. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or animal shelter work demonstrating familiarity with animal care routines. Veterinary technician experience or veterinary clinic background preferred. Strong dog handling skills along with general animal handling expertise across different species. Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while maintaining safety protocols. Knowledge of animal behavior and physiology to effectively assess needs and respond appropriately. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
