Part-Time Veterinary Technician/Assistant Wanted Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in a veterinary clinic? We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team!

Position:

Part-Time Veterinary Technician/Assistant Hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary based on clinic needs)

Preferred Availability:

Tuesdays & Thursdays, and one or two Saturdays a month

Location:

We are ideally looking for someone who lives within approximately a 15-minute commute of the clinic , as dependable and timely attendance is important to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate care and handling of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety Perform animal husbandry and restraint during examinations and procedures. We practice Fear Free® techniques for low-stress handling Assist with anesthesia monitoring during surgeries Communicate effectively with clients regarding scheduling appointments, pet care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions Maintain and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment Conduct basic laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment Support veterinarians and fellow team members with daily tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations Perform routine building maintenance and cleaning , including disinfecting exam rooms, kennels, and workspaces to uphold clinic hygiene and safety standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation Ability to work reliably and arrive on time for scheduled shifts Physically able to work with dogs and cats of various sizes, temperaments, including the ability to lift and carry animals and equipment as needed Comfortable working on your feet for extended period and perform routine physical tasks requred in a veterinary clinic Ability to work as part of a small collaborative veterinary team Willingness to learn and perform both patient-cate and general clinic support duties Preferred but

Not Required Skills:

Venipuncture for blood collection Experience in a companion veterinary clinic
