Experienced Veterinary Assistants will be expected to assist the veterinarian and veterinarian technician in the care of animals. This may include retraining, cleaning, providing medical care assigned by the veterinarian; as well as offering any communication to the client as specified by the Veterinarian. The assistant will help to take radiographs and assist the reception clerk in answering the phones and providing customer service as needed. An assistant is expected to be pleasant, patient, courteous, and polite to the client and team members at all times and contribute to keeping the office flowing in an organized efficient manner. They must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs as needed and required by team members Summary As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be an essential part of our veterinary team, providing hands-on support in animal care and treatment. With core skills in veterinary experience, animal handling, and pet care, you will assist in various tasks such as animal restraint, catheterization, and monitoring animal physiology. Your premium skills in kennel experience, animal husbandry, and aseptic technique will further enhance your ability to provide critical care and support to our patients.
