This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized physical therapy and rehabilitation services to our diverse animal patients, enhancing their recovery and overall well-being. Duties Assist in implementing customized rehabilitation plans for animals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions Perform therapeutic modalities such as hydrotherapy, laser therapy, acupuncture, and therapeutic exercises under veterinarian supervision Monitor and record patient progress using veterinary software and diagnostic radiology tools Handle animal restraint safely during treatments, diagnostics, and procedures ensuring comfort and safety for pets and staff Support veterinary critical care activities including vascular access, IV insertion, medication administration, and anesthesia monitoring Assist with laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and specimen collection to aid in accurate diagnosis Operate medical equipment effectively while maintaining aseptic technique during all procedures Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment plans, progress updates, and home care instructions Requirements Certification as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) or equivalent veterinary rehabilitation credential is required Prior experience working with animals in a veterinary setting or kennel environment is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine practices is essential Demonstrated ability to handle dogs and other animals confidently using proper restraint techniques Experience with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology is advantageous Strong understanding of general anesthesia protocols, critical & intensive care procedures, and medical equipment operation Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative veterinary team Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate rehabilitation services that improve our patients' quality of life!
