Job Description

Overview Looking for a Senior Veterinary Technician to join our team. where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional animal care and supporting our veterinary professionals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in compassionate environment, utilizing your extensive animal handling skills, veterinary procedures knowledge, and technical proficiency. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, assisting with diagnostics, surgeries, and emergency care, all while providing outstanding pet and client support. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic tests using aseptic techniques and medical equipment operation skills. Perform laboratory work including phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology, and veterinary laboratory diagnostics to support accurate patient assessments. Manage animal restraint and handling for dogs, cats ensuring safety and comfort for animals and staff alike. Administer medications via IV insertion or other routes, monitor anesthesia during surgeries or critical care procedures, and assist with general anesthesia management. Operate radiology equipment such as X-ray machines and interpret radiology diagnostics to aid in accurate diagnosis. Support emergency medicine cases by providing critical & intensive care, vascular access procedures, and assisting with veterinary surgical procedures. Maintain detailed records using veterinary software systems, ensuring compliance with all aseptic techniques and clinic protocols. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to foster trust and clarity. Experience Proven kennel experience along with comprehensive animal husbandry. Strong background in veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, laboratory procedures,surgical assistance, medication administration, and client communication is highly required minimum 3 years experience Demonstrated proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical equipment operation. Hands-on experience with IV insertion, animal catheterization, radiology diagnostics (X-ray), pet care procedures, and diagnostic radiology interpretation. Prior veterinary technician experience involving anesthesia monitoring, Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling. Ability to handle animals confidently using proper restraint techniques while maintaining safety standards for both animals and staff. Pay:
$16.95 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 38.0 per week
