We have 2 dental suites with digital dental x-ray, ultrasound for collecting urine samples, IDEXX in-house lab and Zoetis Imagyst, separate feline only entry, lobby, treatment and exam root, as well as a comfort suite.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during dental examinations and procedures, including performing dental x-rays and extractions Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian, including placing IV catheters Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other laboratory procedures Maintain accurate dental and medical records, ensuring compliance with regulations Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care, including monitoring anesthetized patients Possibility to advance to lead position
Requirements:
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic, with experience in dental procedures and drawing blood preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, dental procedures, and venipuncture techniques Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners Ability to lift and restrain animals as needed Experience in Fear Free techniques and handling rabbits and rats considered a plus Previous experience as a lead technician/manager considered a plus
Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
