We value strong relationships with our clients and their pets and are looking for someone who shares that approach to patient care. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and motivated Part-Time Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working hands-on with dogs and cats, and able to assist the veterinarian efficiently during both routine appointments and same-day or urgent care cases. This position may include a combination of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts depending on availability and clinic needs. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, procedures, and urgent care cases Obtain patient histories and vital signs Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples Place IV catheters based on experience and skill level Assist with radiographs and in-house laboratory testing Administer medications and injections as directed by the veterinarian Assist with surgery preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery Prepare and dispense medications as directed Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients Maintain accurate patient records Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas Help with stocking, organization, and general clinic workflow Qualifications Previous veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience preferred Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician training/education preferred Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, or urgent care is a plus Comfortable assisting with sick and urgent patients Strong animal restraint and patient-handling skills Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and safely assist with larger patients Willingness to learn and continue developing technical skills Schedule This is a part-time position with scheduling based on clinic needs and candidate availability.
