A great opportunity for a technician who enjoys emergency medicine and wants flexible shifts in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital. Our technicians play an essential role in delivering high-quality emergency and inpatient care while supporting a team of experienced ER clinicians. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their technical skills, enjoys a dynamic caseload, and thrives working alongside a supportive and team-oriented group. A veterinary technician license is not required, but prior experience working as a veterinary technician (not solely as an assistant) is required. Our state-of-the-art emergency hospital serves the greater Hartford area and is equipped with advanced diagnostics, a fully equipped surgical suite, in-house lab, and a supportive team committed to exceptional patient care. The hospital is open 7 days per week from 8am-12am Monday-Friday and 8am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday. We have 24-hour nursing care for our inpatients 7 days a week including holidays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide high-quality nursing care and technical support to hospitalized and emergency patients Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during surgical and medical procedures Assist with diagnostics including bloodwork, radiographs, and laboratory testing Monitor patient vitals, maintain accurate treatment records, and communicate patient updates to the veterinary team Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Support patient restraint and handling while ensuring a low-stress experience for pets Maintain a clean, organized treatment area and assist with stocking medical supplies Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care

REQUIREMENTS
