What You'll Do As a Veterinary Technician at Veterinary Specialty Center, you will play an important role throughout the surgical patient's experience, from preparation and anesthesia through recovery and discharge.
Responsibilities may include:
IV catheter placement and venipuncture Preparing patients for surgical procedures Anesthesia preparation and monitoring Monitoring patients during surgical procedures Post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery Medication administration Hospitalized patient nursing and monitoring Patient restraint and safe handling Assisting with advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures Maintaining accurate medical records Preparing and maintaining the surgical and treatment areas Communicating closely with veterinarians and the patient-care team Who We're Looking For We're interested in technicians who are: Experienced in veterinary patient care Comfortable with dogs and cats Dependable and detail-oriented Strong communicators and team players Committed to excellent patient care Interested in surgery, anesthesia, and specialty medicine Motivated to continue learning and developing their technical skills Schedule Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, Our hospital is closed Friday-Sunday.
