Veterinary Technician We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Veterinary Technician to join our busy, fast-paced veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate is confident in a clinical setting, comfortable handling multiple priorities at once, and able to remain calm and organized when the pace gets hectic. This position is ideal for a veterinary technician who enjoys working as part of a team and has strong hands-on experience with emergency cases, surgical procedures, and patient care. The hours are 11am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to veterinary patients. Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures. Prepare patients for surgery and assist with surgical procedures. Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and surgery. Assist with emergency and urgent-care cases while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations. Perform and assist with laboratory diagnostics, including bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, and other in-house testing. Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications and treatments as directed. Obtain and monitor patient vital signs and accurately document medical information. Handle, restrain, and care for patients safely and compassionately. Communicate effectively with veterinarians, fellow team members, and clients. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment and surgical areas. Prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment. Follow clinic protocols for patient safety, infection control, and emergency procedures. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of veterinary technician experience required. Demonstrated experience assisting with emergency cases and surgical procedures required. Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing and patient care. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced, high-volume clinic. Excellent multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize effectively when managing multiple patients and competing demands. Calm and confident under pressure, particularly during emergencies. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Compassionate approach to patient care and client service. Reliable, professional, and willing to contribute as part of a collaborative team. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.50 per hour
