Rescue and Sanctuary St. Louis, to support animals in our community. What You'll Do As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you'll practice at the top of your license by: Performing patient assessments and obtaining medical histories Safely restraining patients using Fear Free techniques Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Collecting laboratory samples and running in-house diagnostics Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed Placing and maintaining intravenous catheters Taking and positioning patients for digital radiographs Educating clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans Maintaining accurate medical records Collaborating with veterinarians and the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care Qualifications Current CVT credential required Ideal minimum of 2• years of experience• as a credentialed veterinary technician Strong technical and anesthesia monitoring skills Excellent communication and client education abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Passion for compassionate, Fear Free patient care Schedule Full-time Four-day work week Rotating Saturdays (every other) Designed to promote work-life balance Compensation & Benefits $22.00-$26.00 per hour , based on experience $1,500 sign-on bonus •paid at 90 days of employment Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company benefits Quarterly incentive bonus opportunities Paw Plan bonus opportunities Employee pet care discounts Uniform allowance Supportive leadership and monthly team meetings Continuing education and professional development opportunities Why Northgate Small Animal Hospital?
