Veterinary Technician Town & Country Veterinary Clinic - Bloomington Bloomington, IN Job Details Full-time $17 - $23 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Qualifications Companion animal handling Dental assisting Veterinary Technician Certification Veterinary experience High school diploma or GED Animal drug administration Dog walking Full Job Description We are a fast paced, two doctor, small animal clinic seeking a Veterinary Technician. Our Vet Techs receive competitive wages, benefits, and bonuses. We are looking for team players that are hardworking and self-motivated. The Vet Tech position will be full time with 11 hour shifts. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm. A current Veterinary Technician license is desired, but we will also consider non-certified applicants.
Typical Veterinary Technician responsibilities include:
Properly handling and restraining animals during exams, treatments, and x-rays. Drawing blood and collecting other samples for lab work. Assisting the veterinarian in surgery, dental procedures, and euthanasia. Caring for hospitalized animals, which includes walking, administering medication, feeding, and cleaning. Communicating detailed information with clients and maintaining detailed records.
