This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals, utilize advanced medical equipment, and contribute to critical and emergency care. As a key member of our team, you will perform technical procedures, assist in surgeries, and ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and client communication. • Responsibilities Provide comprehensive animal husbandry and animal care, ensuring animals are comfortable, well-fed, and properly restrained during examinations and procedures Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparing sterile fields, monitoring anesthesia, and performing intubation and IV catheterization. Conduct laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and digital radiology diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and other diagnostic tools with precision and aseptic technique Handle animals safely using fear free, low stress handling techniques and animal restraint techniques while maintaining calmness and control in high-pressure situations Administer medications accurately via various routes including injections and oral dosing; monitor animals' responses during critical & intensive care Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and compliance Skills Extensive kennel experience combined with animal handling expertise for dogs and cats Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary surgical assistance procedures Proficiency in veterinary software for record keeping, appointment scheduling, and laboratory data entry- we utilize Daysmart Vetter for medical software, Vetsnap for controlled substance logging, Wedgewood for our online pharmacy Skilled in dental terminology and assisting with dental procedures such as prophylactic cleaning, dental charting, digital dental radiography Experience with emergencies, critical & intensive care practices, and veterinary anesthesia monitoring Utilization and operation of Idexx in house laboratory machines Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to advancing animal health through compassionate care, technical excellence, and continuous learning. Pay:
